Hans Klaver new partner Obsession

Hans Klaver has joined the management team of Obsession B.V., becoming a partner alongside Gerben Plasmeijer and Jan Liebregts. This milestone marks the culmination of an exciting and multifaceted journey: eight years ago, he started as a marketing & communication intern at Obsession, advanced to Account Director, and has now become a partner. In 2025, a new chapter begins, where he will take on a more conscious role as a partner to contribute to the future of Obsession and the profession.

Becoming a partner was a very natural process. Hans had already been partly responsible for daily operations for several years and played a strategic role in establishing the Partners for Live promise.
“It’s something I deeply believe in,” Hans explains. “Growing together. Creating meaning. And making conscious choices. These are the key ingredients for fruitful relationships and sustainable impact. That’s not only what Obsession stands for as an event agency, but also what I stand for as a person. From the moment I signed, I’ve felt that responsibility even more. I’m now more mindful than ever of the impact my decisions have on the agency’s direction.” Gerben adds, “I’m incredibly proud that we’ve reached this milestone. The fact that we’ve been able to turn an intern into a full-fledged partner demonstrates the opportunities available to talented individuals with good ideas and determination.”

Hans’ career began about 13 years ago after graduating from the Hotel School, starting on top of a Swiss mountain where he worked in a five-star hotel. He then studied Communication and landed his graduation internship at none other than Obsession. The connection with Gerben was immediate.

“I felt fire, vision, and a drive to create something extraordinary. That, combined with a hands-on mentality and the goal of making a difference in the corporate event industry, resonated with me deeply.
